Camino De Santiago - Lisbon to Point Finisterre

Time for a new adventure. Heading to the Camino-De-Santiago on September 4th to begin the ~490 mile foot journey from Lisbon, Portugal to Santiago, Spain and then on to Point Finisterre.  Going on this journey with me are Jerry Smith and Dave Lyon.  I have traveled by bicycle across the U.S. on two occasions with Jerry.  Dave is Jerry's hiking companion from the Pacific Crest Trail and other Caminos.  This is the first time the three of us will journey together.

My pack weighs in at 18 pounds (without water and food).  That is heavier than I would like, but not horrible.  One of the first things I learned from my experienced partners is that my pack, sleeping bag, and bed sheet (for the Albergues) needs to be sprayed with Permethrin to ward off bed bugs and other critters.  Apparently bed bugs are the bane of pilgrims on the Camino.
